Position: Line Cook
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that every dish meets the restaurant’s standards of taste, presentation, and timing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and plate food according to menu specifications and restaurant standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including all kitchen tools and equipment.
- Ensure all food items are prepared fresh and made to order.
- Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, as needed.
- Maintain and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to the correct specification.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen supervisor.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a line cook or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain quality in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school diploma is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
