Position Description

Opportunity:  Assistant Front Office Manager

 

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Assistant Front Office Manager to join our team at The Manner. This role supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing all front desk operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a commitment to delivering a premium guest experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing all front desk operations including check-in, check-out, reservations, and guest inquiries.
  • Supervise and support front office staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Maintain high standards of guest service, promptly addressing guest issues and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient handling of room assignments, billing, and reservations.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure room readiness and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and front office equipment.
  • Support implementation of hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
  • Assist with auditing daily reports, ensuring accuracy in billing, transactions, and cash handling.
  • Maintain front desk security and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Take charge of front office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management is a plus.

  • 2+ years of front office experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

  • Proficient in hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, PMS, POS).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
